The desert of south east Utah is a seductive landscape of red, orange and pink rock formations, deep canyons, and hints of civilizations past. One of my favorite areas is in the vicinity of Grand Gulch on Cedar Mesa. In April of 2014, we did several backpacking trips as well as day hikes exploring the canyons and mesa tops.
